Cat-eye Sunglasses

Collage by The Fashion Lullaby & photo courtesy of the Photodiarist

I have been on the look out, quite a while now..., for the perfect retro cat-eye sunglasses. I was inspired by the It-girl, Olivia Palermo who has a very envious personal collection and sports them particularly well. With the sunshine and beautiful outdoor days around the corner, here are four cat-eyes pairs of sunglasses. You could never be more ready to embrace summer.

1. Topshop
2. Asos
3. ModCloth.com
4. Dior

The sun was finally out this weekend in London, a perfect occasion for a nice stroll in the Broadway market.
If you have a chance to go there you have to try the delicious apple juice from Chegworth valley. So refreshing on this beautiful spring day.
My friend was wearing a skirt by Maje and leather jacket fron Vince.

The Fashion Lullaby's favourite picks of the 2012 Met Ball

Photo courtesy of Tumblr & Vogue.com

Monday night was one of the most coveted events of the year: The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute annual gala benefit hosted by none other than the queen of fashion, Anna Wintour. This year it’s two highly renowned names of the fashion industry are put to honor in an exhibition entitled: “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations”. The exhibition has officially opened to the public today and until August 19th – for those in New York, NO excuse to miss it! Each year, the Met Ball gathers “la crème de la crème” , this opening night was no exception  - beautiful gowns, feathers, sparkles, a heaven for fashion enthusiasts. Last year, I was head over heels for a navy blue laced Erdem gown sported by the lovely Lily Donaldson! I’m happy to share with you my top 3 of this year’s Met ball.

In third place is the young model and Burberry muse: Cara Delevigne. She looked stunning in her sophisticated Burberry Porsum black velvet gown. What caught my eye was her beautiful jewelry signed Dominic Jones. The flying-beetle necklace was the little something added to perfect her Met ball look.

Dree Hemingway with the custom made Topshop sequin dress comes in second. The black sheer panels of the frock betrayed her lack of bra adding a sexy twist to the look. Fashion is fun and the edgy model succeeds in reminding us of it with her when-high-street-meets-chic look.

My favourite of the night is Diane Kruger. She rocked a deep purple Prada crepe silk chiffon gown. The simple v-neck cut is balanced by the ostrich feather border and the star looks fabulous. She completed her look with spot-on accessorizes, a pink embellished clutch (Prada), which created a lovely contrast with the purple, and a gorgeous gold “sautoir” by Fred Leighton that made her look like royalty.

We all are totally smitten with the superb gowns signed by Oscar de la Renta. His show on this past Valentine day was no exception - Romantic with Princess-like dresses. I am found of the the hairband detail and the petrol blue color he used.

Well I am have GREAT news my friends! Earlier this week Oscar launched 'The Board',  a digital inspiration platform open to all of us! We can upload inspiring visuals (images, videos, ...)to help Mr. de la Renta in his creative process.
This idea is genius! working in communication and marketing myself I believe 'The Board' is a great way to engage and involve fans. I certainly will be posting! http://theboard.oscardelarenta.com/

Erica Bearman is the Oscar PR girl and gives us a great insight of one of the most prestigious houses with her tumblr.

I would love to have her job!!!

I think she is impeccably dress and has a fabulous style - Subtly chic with a little edge and very inspirational.
I have just started my professional life, and find it difficult to showcase my personal style in my work environnement and it seems that Erica has the solution to my daily issue. That's why I am so fond of her style.
She succeeds in being elegant and professional looking while adding a glamourous touch with an eye-catching print or a beautiful pencil skirt.
